Parents Leadership Council

Welcome Parents!

As the new co-chairs of the Parents for Providence Association, we welcome you and your child back to PC.  We hope that your child has made the transition back into College life.  This fall, as we drove our daughter, Rachel ’14, to campus, she said, “I’m so excited to be going back home!”  We are certain your child feels the same way – PC is their home away from home.

To the parents of the Class of 2015, we welcome you into the PC family!  We are certain you had the opportunity to meet other parents in the incoming class, through many of the several functions sponsored by the College, including orientation and regional summer receptions.  We look forward to seeing you at future gatherings, and encourage you to attend Freshman Family Weekend, November 5 – 6, 2011.  It’s a wonderful time to visit campus as there are many activities planned for the weekend for you and your child to enjoy.

As parents, you can experience the Providence College tradition in your own way.  There are plenty of opportunities for parents to become immersed in the PC family through the Parents for Providence Association.  The Association is dedicated to supporting the College’s mission through parent volunteerism.  Parents serve as ambassadors, networkers and fundraisers.  Whether you are a new parent, or have been part of our community for a while, please join us! When the PC parent community comes together, great things can happen, and the Parents for Providence Association will have another successful year.  We hope your child is successful as well, and takes full advantage of all that Providence College has to offer.
