A Night in Black and White a tremendous success!
Thank you to more than 450 Providence College alumni, parents, corporate partners, faculty, staff and students who attended the College’s inaugural fundraising event, A Night in Black and White on April 24, 2010 at the State Room in Boston, MA.
The evening included a gourmet food and wine pairing, an exciting live auction, and a silent auction featuring black and white PC student photography, exquisite pieces of jewelry, and golf packages.
- Congratulations to the Ciciarelli family for winning the $10,000 tuition grant in the raffle!
- College President Rev. Brian J. Shanley, O.P. '80 presented the Black and White award to this year’s recipient, Michael J. Joyce '84, in recognition of unfailing devotion to his family, profession, community, and alma mater.
- First-year student, Janelle Vultaggio '13, a biology major who comes from a household of nine, and a first generation College student, told her Providence College story. She said that “she knew early on she would be writing her own success story,” and because of the generous support of PC's alumni, parents, and friends, she is succeeding. She closed her remarks with a simple request: to give the same priceless gift that she had been given - the gift of opportunity, the gift of education, the gift of transformation, and the gift of a promising future.
With your support to the PC Fund, Providence College can keep its promise and give current students like Janelle and future students an opportunity to say YES to a PC education.Thank You
Thank you to each and every one of our leadership and event committee members, and the many volunteers who worked so hard to make this event a success. A special thank you to this year’s event co-chairs, Mark '97 and Susan Gasbarro, and Bryan and Susan Koop '11P, '12P. Without their vision and dedication to this event and Providence College, this event would not have become a reality. We extend a huge thank you to our wonderful sponsors - alumni, parents, and corporate partners.Platinum
