College's Most Successful Fundraiser
PC’s second annual A Night in Black and White was an off-the-charts affair in spirit, participation, and generosity raising approximately $450,000. Held on April 9 at the expansive, 33rd-floor State Room overlooking Boston Harbor, A Night in Black and White attracted 750 alumni, parents, faculty, staff, students, corporate partners, and friends to celebrate PC.  Over the next few months, all Providence College alumni will be contacted by representatives of Harris Connect to update their personal information for inclusion in our 2011 Providence College Alumni Today publication. It is our hope that this directory will be a useful tool for alumni to reconnect with fellow Friars or to broaden their own personal networks. Ratzenberger Named Commencement Speaker
 John Ratzenberger, the former Cheers star and a leading voice in all Pixar films, will present the Commencement Exercises on May 15. He is one of five distinguished individuals, including William J. Christie '61, David A. Duffy '61, John J. Partridge, Esq. '61, and Dr. Stephen B. Fawcett '69, who have been chosen to receive honorary degrees from the College. Read more.

 Dr. Mark S. Hyde, professor of political science, has been chosen as the recipient of the 2010-11 Joseph R. Accinno Faculty Teaching Award at Providence College--the premier teaching accolade at PC. Read more.
