Second Annual Friar 5k to benefit the PC Fund

Second Annual Friar 5k to benefit the PC Fund

Providence College will host the second annual Friar 5K race at the College on Saturday, October 22 with a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m. All proceeds will benefit the PC Fund.

The USA Track and Field certified event will cover 3.1 miles through the campus and surrounding neighborhoods, beginning and ending at Harkins Hall. The race is open to the public; walkers and runners are welcome. Pre-registration is highly recommended and entrance fees include a free race t-shirt.

"I particpated in Friar 5k last year, and it was so much fun," said Terence McTague '10. "Getting together with alumni, parents, students and families made the 5k such a community event."

Gifts to the PC Fund are put to use immediately and directed to the areas where they are most urgently needed. The generosity of our donors is critical to the quality and well-being of the College.

All participants and their families are encouraged to attend our post-race celebration on Slavin Lawn with student bands, vendors, and food.
