Don't miss the second annual Friar 5k

The Friar 5k is well on its way!
The Office of Institutional Advancement and the Providence College community invite you to participate in our 2nd Annual Friar 5K on Saturday, October 22, 2011 benefiting the PC Fund. More than 215 race participants have registered and the race is still 5 weeks away!

Students, alumni, faculty, staff and the general public are invited to run or walk this 3.1 mile USA Track and Field sanctioned course, with a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m. You will find yourself running in and around the Providence College campus.

"I particpated in Friar 5k last year, and it was so much fun," said Terence McTague '10. "Getting together with alumni, parents, students and families made the 5k such a community event."

Gifts to the PC Fund are put to use immediately and directed to the areas where they are most urgently needed. The generosity of our donors is critical to the quality and well-being of the College.

Pre-registration is highly recommended and a free cotton race t-shirt is included in the entrance fee.
