Host Alternative Spring Break Students for Dinner
Providence College students are coming to your area to work with Habitat for Humanity during their Spring Break!
Students will be traveling in groups of 10 to needy areas in several states to help Habitat for Humanity from Monday, March 12th through Friday, March 16th. The Office of Alumni Relations and Campus Ministry are looking for interested alumni to connect with these students.
We are interested to see if any alums are interested in hosting a dinner for the students while they are in your area. This does not have to be anything expensive or fancy; just a gesture of hospitality. The students will be working hard during the day, and many would love the opportunity to connect with alumni for a relaxing evening.
If you are willing to host a dinner, please contact Therese Reilly ’83, Assistant Director for Alumni Relations in the Office of Institutional Advancement, at email@example.com or (401) 865-2835. She will be able to put you in contact with the student leaders who are traveling to your area.
The Habit for Humanity service project is one of several outreach initiatives that PC students will be involved in during what, for many, is referred to as Alternative Spring Break. Students will be traveling to Baltimore, Md., Buffalo, N.Y., Coatesville, Pa., Concord, N.C., and York, Pa. to assist the less fortunate. Students will also be traveling elsewhere in the U.S., as well as to the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Peru, and Costa Rica for academic and other enriching experiences.
