Loyal Friar Society

The Loyal Friar Society recognizes donors who consistently donate to the College at any giving level. This society acknowledges the many PC donors who understand that consecutive annual giving – no matter the amount – has the power to transform the lives of students. There are more than 5,000 donors in the Loyal Friar Society. Members range from alumni who graduated in the 1950s to members of the FOLD (Friars of the Last Decade), to faculty, staff, and friends.

As a devoted donor to the College, you’ve helped to ensure that all students and faculty have the resources they need to thrive. Thank you for your consistent and sustained generosity to PC.

Benefits

To qualify for the Loyal Friar Society, donors must make contributions to the College at any amount for at least three consecutive years. As a member of the Loyal Friar Society, you will receive:

  • Recognition in the Donor Gratitude Report as a Loyal Friar

What does giving to PC mean to me? Everything.

I was a scholarship student. If not for the generosity of alumni, I would have never gone to PC. I can’t imagine my life without those four years and I don’t know where I’d be if I had gone to another school. I received a wonderful education and made lifelong friends. We can’t all give a lot. But if we all give a little, we can make a difference.

I am happy to support Providence College financially because I know and appreciate what a Dominican, Catholic education can mean to a young graduate. PC prepares its students for a productive life based on a solid education, strong moral values and a desire to contribute to a strong, vibrant, and caring society. I have been a direct beneficiary of this educational tradition and any success I may have achieved is because of it.  It is a privilege to support this fine Institution.

I give because a gift to PC is a gift to a genuine cause. I know that my gifts support the many students – especially underrepresented students – who make the classroom an enjoyable place to be. A gift to PC goes a long way in impacting the lives of these students, and that brings me happiness.
