Join us on this special occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the first graduating class of psychology majors. Celebrate the past, present, and future of the Department of Psychology. Return to Providence College for a day — see the transformed campus, learn about student and faculty research, listen to a retrospective of the past 50 years, and celebrate our accomplishments with former and current faculty, staff, and students.
Saturday, April 7
10:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
10:30 a.m. -11 a.m.: Registration, Coffee and Doughnuts (The Center at Moore Hall )
11 a.m. – Noon: Tours of Campus (departing from Moore Hall)
Noon – 1:45 p.m.: Lunch, Welcome Remarks and ’68 & ‘18 Panel (McPhails)
2 p.m. – 3 p.m.: Department Retrospective (Ruane Center for the Humanities LL 05)
3 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.: Break, Snacks, Student/Faculty Research Posters
3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.: Keynote Speaker: Psychology alumna Melissa Janet Brymer, Ph.D., Psy.D. ’92 will address her experience as director of Terrorism and Disaster Programs for the UCLA-Duke National Center for Child Traumatic Stress (Ruane Center for the Humanities LL 05)
4:45 p.m. – 6 p.m.: Tour of The Lucille and Leo Caiafa, Jr. Center for Psychological Sciences (Meet outside Albertus Magnus 137)
6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.: Cocktail Reception with Hosted Bar (Bouligny Lounge, The Center at Moore Hall)
