100 Nights to Reunion

Do you remember the official 100-day countdown to your PC graduation? Have you been looking through throwback photos of you and your friends from Commencement Week? Bring all that energy and more to the kick-off celebration of “100 Nights to Reunion” and join your classmates for an exclusive gathering on Zoom on Thursday, March 4.
Participating classes will have the opportunity to meet your reunion committee leaders, hear updates about the in-person celebration, and go down memory lane as you reminisce about your favorite PC memories. Keep an eye out for archival photos/videos from your time at PC that might tug at your heart strings. Don’t miss out on this special evening, and make sure to bring all of your Friar energy with you.

Members of the Class of ’71 are invited to put on their favorite Friar gear, pour their favorite beverage and meet their reunion committee from the comfort of their own living room. Committee members will share upcoming engagement plans, goals for the class and offer the opportunity to reconnect with classmates by major and affinity.

Planned giving may provide an avenue for you to make a more impactful gift than you thought possible. As a member of the Providence College Class of 1971, you are invited to join your classmates in learning how to make a transformative gift that will honor your 50th reunion year, support your vision for the College’s future, and preserve your current lifestyle. You will hear firsthand from classmates who have utilized a variety of gift options. Andrea Krupp, Esq., director of planned and estate giving at PC, will provide you and your fellow Golden Friars with an overview of planned giving techniques that can maximize your philanthropic legacy at PC.

CEO and co-founder of the career learning and success app UpperCampus and current PC parent, Adam Benjamin ’91, ’23P, will share helpful tips and demonstrate how his app can help guide your student in the right direction. Senior Associate Dean of Admission at PC, Amy Cembor will lead the discussion along with school counselors Christine Hickey Brown ’05 and Shanika Boadu ’12 to identify simple steps to get you started and share how the pandemic has impacted the college admission process.watch now

Resilience in 2020: How a Timely Gift Brings Well-Being into the Classroom

What do being an entrepreneur and a college student have in common? One word: Resilience. Especially in 2020. Chris Riccobono ’01, founder of UNTUCKit, will share his struggles with anxiety and depression, and the importance of resilience in well-being and business. He’ll also discuss his frustration with the stigma of mental illness, and how it led to the creation of the Riccobono Academic Resilience Faculty Fellowship at PC, funded by Riccobono and his wife, Amy Parrillo ’03. During this session, Professor Matthew Eriksen, Ph.D., chairperson of the management department, will moderate a discussion with Riccobono and Global Studies Professor Nuria Alonso Garcia, Ph.D. and a student participant. Eriksen and Alonso Garcia were both 2019-2020 fellowship recipients.
