The Friar Family
When our daughter Meg made the decision to attend PC, we were eager to learn more about what makes the PC community so special. Now, as Meg gets ready to graduate, we can truly attest to the fact that Friar family is more than just a slogan.
Friar family is such an authentic way of talking about the PC community because each member embodies what it means to be part of a family. From the ever-present Dominican Friars to the friendly, helpful staff, to the renowned faculty, each individual is dedicated to making sure every student that passes through the Harkins gates has a memorable experience.
We invite you to enhance your role in our community through involvement with the Parents Leadership Council. You can meet fellow parents, be more connected to the PC community, and have a meaningful impact on your child’s second home. As a group, we can ensure that this special place that we love continues to the thrive and that our family continues to excel.
Thank you for your support and Go Friars!

Your Gift in Action
The Fund for Providence College is PC’s annual fund. Parent gifts to The Fund for Providence College provide funds that can be used immediately and flexibly, giving the College’s leaders the ability to respond to the needs of today’s students. Taken together, these gifts directly strengthen the College’s current fiscal health and have a powerful impact. Donors to The Fund for Providence College may choose to direct their gifts where they’re needed most, or to emergency student support, varsity athletics, or financial aid.

Parents Leadership Council
Parents Leadership Council (PLC) members serve as ambassadors and fundraisers for Providence College. Council members are philanthropic leaders of the College and are vital in engaging the parent community. In addition to leading the efforts of the Parents Fund, members may volunteer their time to support other priorities of the College. Volunteer opportunities may include peer-to-peer solicitation, hosting new student receptions, regional events, or reaching out to incoming families to welcome them to the PC community.
