Registration and Check-in

Where do I check in and pick up my tickets?

Friday, June 7
4-9 p.m. | Slavin 112, Fishbowl

Saturday, June 8
9 a.m. – 2 p.m. | Slavin 112, Fishbowl

All Reunion guests must check in for the weekend. Pick up your name tag and get essential information in Slavin 112, the “Fishbowl,” on Friday and Saturday.

For those staying on campus in Shanley Hall, registration and check-in will be held in Shanley Hall Pavilion from 3-9 p.m. This is where you pick up your name tag and room key.

Guests attending the Golden Friar Welcome Cocktail Reception on Friday, June 7 will be able to check in at AQUA at the Marriott on Orms from 5-7 p.m.

Am I able to register on-site for the weekend?

Yes! Visit check-in in Slavin 112 to register for weekend events.

Please note that the following events are at capacity and will not be accepting walk-ins: Reunion Golf Outing, Golden Friar Brunch, and Class of ’69 Reunion Dinner

Is there a number I can call if I have a question regarding the weekend?

Housing

Housing Check-In

Friday, June 7
4-9 p.m. | Shanley Hall

There will be staff and students available to assist with check-in. We recommend checking into housing first before attending other weekend events. At least one member of your group must check in for housing. We recommend entering campus via the Huxley gate (212 Huxley Ave., Providence, RI 02908 for GPS).

If no one in your room can check in before 9 p.m. on Friday, your room assignment and key cards will be able to be picked up in Slavin 112 on Saturday from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

I am staying in on-campus housing for Reunion Weekend. What amenities are available?

The following will be provided for your stay at Shanley Hall: one (1) linen package per person, which includes two (2) sheets and a pillowcase, one (1) blanket, one (1) pillow, one (1) bath towel, and one (1) face towel. Shanley Hall is air conditioned.

Accommodations will not include the following: shampoo, conditioner, soap, toiletries, alarm clock, hairdryer, iron/ironing board, television, telephone, coffee maker, clothes hangers, plates, glasses, or utensils.

When do I need to check out of my room?

Guests must check-out by 11 a.m. on Sunday morning. Instructions will be provided in each room.

What are the bookstore hours?

Friday, June 7: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Saturday, June 8: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Sunday, June 9: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

What are the Dunkin’ hours (in lower Slavin)?

Saturday, June 8: 8 a.m. – Noon

Will I have access to the gym on campus?

Yes! The Concannon Fitness Center, including the men’s and women’s locker rooms, will be available on Saturday, June 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.. Locker rooms and showers are available to guests.

Will there be class photos taken during Reunion Weekend?

Yes. Each class will have a class photo taken during their individual class events on Saturday, June 8, or at the end of the Reunion Festival.

Is McPhail’s open?

Yes! Catch up with fellow Friars in McPhail’s from 7:30-11 p.m. on Friday and 6:30-11 p.m. on Saturday.

Do the bars at the events take credit cards?

Yes. There are also Santander ATMs located in the lower level of the Slavin Center and the main floor of the Ryan Center for Business Studies.

What is the suggested attire for the different events?

Overall, dress for the weekend is casual. Suitable options include summer dresses, capris, and jeans for women, and shorts, jeans, polos, button downs, and nice t-shirts for men. For special events below, please take note of attire:

  • Reunion Festival: Summer casual (shorts, t-shirt, sundress, etc.)
  • Golden Friar Brunch: Jacket and slacks, tie optional for men; dress, skirt, or dress pants for women
Where can I change or freshen up between events during the day without going back to my hotel?

The men’s and women’s locker rooms in the Concannon Fitness Center will be available for alumni to use. The locker rooms also have showers, but not towel service. The locker rooms will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 8.

Which events are family-friendly?

The Reunion Festival on Saturday, June 8 will have family-friendly activities such as lawn games, live music, and more. The Reunion Mass and Reunion Brunch on Sunday, June 9 will also be open to guests of all ages.

How can I donate to my class giving goal?

Thank you for supporting the needs of PC students! You can see your class giving progress and make your Reunion gift here. There will also be giving tables at event locations throughout the weekend.

What is Race to Reunion? How can I participate?

Race to Reunion is the perfect opportunity to celebrate your class milestone and support Friar students! By joining the Race to Reunion challenge, you directly support the needs of PC students and help your class reach its fundraising goals. All Reunion donors will be recognized on your Class Honor Roll displayed during Reunion Weekend.

Friars of Color Kickback at Reunion

Where do I go when I arrive for the Friars of Color Kickback?

Please proceed to Raymond Hall, where event staff will help you check in.

Will there be photos taken during the event?

Yes, a photographer will be taking candid photos and requests throughout the evening.

What if I have a Reunion Weekend event to attend as well as this event?

All Friars of color, regardless of class year, are invited to the Reunion Brew Fest & Welcome Party, the Reunion Festival, the Reunion Mass & Golden Friar Pin Blessing, and the Reunion Brunch events. Please visit one of the Reunion check-in tables in Slavin 112, or Raymond Hall during the Friars of Color Kickback, to check in for other weekend events.

What if I did not register in advance for the Friars of Color Kickback?

No problem – we look forward to seeing you! Event staff will help you register on-site and provide you with a name tag.

Will there be food at the event?

Yes! There will be food trucks and drinks available for the duration of the evening.

Will there be a speaking program?

Yes. There will be brief remarks to open and close the event.

Transportation

Where should I park when I’m on campus?

We encourage all guests to enter through the Huxley Avenue gates on campus. The GPS address for the Huxley Avenue gate is 212 Huxley Ave., Providence, RI. This is also the address to use if taking an Uber or Lyft. This entrance provides access to the main garages on campus. See the campus map for parking locations:

    • Anderson Stadium Garage
    • Peterson Garage
    • The lot adjacent to and behind the Ryan Center for Business Studies
    • The lot behind St. Dominic Chapel
Will there be transportation provided from downtown hotels?

Yes! Shuttle service will run continuously from area hotels to campus at the following times:

Friday, June 7, from 4 p.m. – midnight; Saturday, June 8, from 9 a.m. – midnight, and Sunday, June 9, from
9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Guests will be dropped off and picked up at the Concannon Circle.

The shuttle will utilize the following continuous route. Please allow 15-20 minutes between each stop. The entire route takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.

    • Omni Hotel (formerly the Westin) at valet entrance, curbside. Guests of the Hilton, Hotel Providence, Courtyard by Marriott, and The Graduate Providence (formerly the Providence Biltmore hotel) will be picked up at the Omni.
    • Aloft Providence Downtown
    • Hampton Inn and Suites
    • Homewood Suites by Hilton Providence Downtown
    • Marriott Providence
    • Providence College Concannon Circle

Where is the designated ride-share pick-up and drop-off location?

The designated ride-share pick-up and drop-off location will be at the bus station at Huxley Ave.

You can also call the main phone line at 401.865.2412 for up-to-date information regarding rain locations for the weekend events. The rain location for the Reunion Festival is the Peterson Recreation Center.

How will I be notified in case of emergency?

Simply text “Friars” to 67283 from your mobile phone to opt in to receiving alerts from the campus community.  You will receive both a welcome and exit text from the system.

You will not be permanently enrolled. All guests will be timed out after Sunday evening (approximately 36 hours).
